Cambrios was founded in Silicon Valley in 2004 and authorized exclusively by the University of Washington to officially acquire the patent technique in the early stage of synthesizing the silver nanowire. We actively develop the silver nanowire while cultivating the firm and solid abilities in response to the change of generations and market demand. In 2017, we transferred the technical center to Asia and integrated the resources in the upstream and downstream industry chain. Cambrios expanded its business from the production and method of silver nanowires to the manufacturing technique of conductive thin films. It allows us to become the first company that successfully achieved the mass production and commercialization of silver nanowires.

2004-2016
In 2004, Cambrios was founded in Silicon Valley, exclusively acquired the patent technique in the early stages of synthesizing silver nanowires, and started to actively research and develop the silver nanowires. The first product, which was named ClearOhm®, is the coating material for silver nanowires. Through wet processing manufacturing, the transparent conductive thin film is produced. The silver nanowire represents the greater performance in photoelectricity, compared to the existing materials on the market. It is applied to many products including transparent electrodes used in touch screens, LCD screens, ePaper, OLED devices, OLED lighting, and thin-film solar cells.

In 2017, the technical center was transferred to Asia to complete the global deployment and successfully transform Cambrios from the silver nanowire supplier to the supplier of silver nanowire conductive thin film. We hold the absolute majority of international patents in the processes and components of silver nanowires, manufacturing techniques of conductive thin films, and touch display screen equipment. Cambrios was the first company around the globe that successfully achieved the mass production and commercialization of silver nanowires. Various major panel plants have recognized and widely use our products. What’s more, the technology and service of Cambrios further entered the medical arena and the green energy industry.
