Summary: Cambrios is developing a novel transparent conducting nanostructured material that can be processed by wet coating techniques as a replacement for sputtered indium tin oxide used in the electronic materials industry. Familiarity with all or some of the following characterization techniques is desirable: SEM / EDX, light microscopy, profilometry, 4-point probe, UV-vis, FTIR, ellipsometry, AFM, or other standard thin film characterization techniques is required. The qualified candidate should have excellent organizational skills, and be comfortable with acquiring and summarizing data in a report that would be presented to customers. Attention to detail and the ability to rigorously develop and follow standard operating procedures are required. In addition, the candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to lead feasibility demonstrations for new materials testing concepts, working closely with materials chemists and ink formulation specialists to tailor the nanostructured material and deposition process for a particular application. The ability to innovate and work in a team environment is critical.
Experience in photopatterning processes for thin films, liquid phase coating and / or patterning processes such as screen printing, slot die, gravure, flexoprinting, etc. is desirable. Experience with extrusion coating systems for deposition of photoresist on rigid substrates for the display industry is particularly applicable.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.
Essential Functions:
- Develop analytical test methods, techniques, and measurement evaluation criteria for requested materials
- Ability to analyze test results, troubleshoot customer complaints, and development of corrective/preventative action plans.
- Possesses broad expertise in various analytical instruments and/or knowledge of quality control/engineering methods.
- Proficient with statistical process (SPC) and quality control (SQC) – knowledge of JMP statistical software is preferred.
- Provide leadership role in the development of the QMS and with customer or 3rd party audits.
- Support requests for investigations and customer complaints as outlined in established operating and company quality system procedures
- Computer application software, word, excel, powerpoint, adobe acrobat, and database software is required.
- Data oriented, strong organizational and communication skills.
- Provide leadership in maintaining housekeeping standards and implement corrective action from housekeeping deficiencies.
-Provide leadership for Plant Quality Improvement and Safety Programs.
-Interface with all company functional departments as required to perform daily activities.
-Responsible for lab equipment maintenance.
-Responsible for training of QC lab technicians.
-Adhere to and enforce company policies, plant rules, and procedures as a condition of employment.

Qualifications: BS Degree or higher in Science or Engineering. More than 10 years of experience in quality control/engineering in an analytic chemistry laboratory supporting coating technologies relevant to electronic materials applications. Strong computer skills required—Excel, Word, Powerpoint, database and statistical software experience required. Data driven, detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills required. Knowledge of transparent coating, raw material, and film manufacture strongly preferred
